Can it be avoided?
Module 4

Can it be avoided?

The best control is to **avoid hot works** where possible — for example by using cold cutting, mechanical joints, push-fit or press-fit fittings, or by doing the work off-site in a workshop.
Check hidden spaces
Module 6

Check hidden spaces

Check the other side of walls, floors and ceilings, and inside cavities, for combustible materials. Protect or remove them before starting.
